Responsibilities Understand business requirements and functional specifications. Prepare comprehensive test plans and test cases. Execute manual testing for web and mobile applications. Validate new features before production deployment. Perform regression testing after every release. Verify bug fixes. Bug Management Identify, document, and track software defects. Log defects with detailed reproduction steps. Coordinate with developers to resolve issues. Perform root cause verification after fixes. Ensure critical issues are resolved before release. Test Planning Estimate testing effort. Maintain test cases and testing documentation. Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming. Define acceptance criteria along with Product Owners. Automation (Preferred) Create automation scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. Maintain automation framework. Execute automated regression suites. Improve automation coverage. API Testing Test REST APIs. Validate JSON responses. Verify authentication and authorization. Test API performance. Use tools like Postman or Swagger. Database Testing Validate database records. Execute SQL queries. Verify data integrity. Perform backend validation. Performance Testing (Preferred) Execute load and stress testing. Measure response time. Identify bottlenecks. Recommend optimization areas. Security Validation Verify user roles and permissions. Test authentication flows. Validate session management. Identify basic security vulnerabilities. Collaboration Work with Developers. Work with Product Managers. Coordinate with Business Analysts. Participate in Agile ceremonies. Support UAT.
