Data Scientist Internship at The Indegenous

The Indegenous is looking for students who wish to gain real-world work experience through a 3 month(s) internship. The internship period will be subject to extension based on performance review. Responsibilities of the Intern: Create tool that can pull data from various sources for analysis Identify various big data tools that can be used for analyzing high volumes of data Work with the founder and the various teams within the organization Identify different topics and trends related to indigenous peoples and communities Identify different entry points to connect with Indigenous communities Work with different stakeholders to assess potential risks Analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations Confidently navigate through software like Python and JavaScript Filter out relevant topics on the internet and provide data Requirements: Currently in college or university working towards a diploma or graduate degree Access to a computer or laptop Good internet connection Basic knowledge regarding data collection Passionate about education, indigenous community, and organization Experience in scraping websites Experience writing clear, legible code on Python Experience using GitHub Able to have high-level written and verbal communication skills Project management, creative content creation, marketing tools Strategy implementation and performance measurement In addition to practical skills and valuable life experience, you will also receive a letter of recommendation.
