About this role
Aakaar is the annual festival of the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Bombay comprising a range of engaging competitions, workshops, lecture series, panel discussions, industrial talks, exhibitions, and various entertaining learning events. The College Representative Program is the core of Aakaar's outreach initiative. We at Aakaar hope to connect with college students across India to pique their interest in Civil Engineering and provide a platform to pursue the same. CRs will be given tasks based on engagement soft skills, developing strategies for Digital Marketing, and building connections along the way. Responsibilities of the Candidate: Be a Face: Become the representative of Aakaar in your college and serve as a link between the students there and Aakaar Be a Leader: Engage with the student body, and talk to higher authorities to organize events in your college Be a Pioneer: Plan and try out creative marketing and PR techniques to increase student engagement Be a Brainstorm: Talk with other CRs and Aakaar coordinators to brainstorm fresh ideas for the festival Benefits: Personalized Dashboard: Access to the CA Dashboard, a one-stop solution for all engagement b/w CRs and Aakaar Exclusive Merchandise: Continued evaluation based on the tasks given, with merchandise to the scoring CRs Organize Events: Ideate, Plan and Execute events in your college, and get a chance to become a part of the organizing team in the main fest Skill Development: Free courses/coupons and internship opportunities for skill growth of the CRs Eligibility Criteria: Student from an engineering college B.Tech, M.Tech, and PhDs, all are allowed Incentives: Top-performing CRs will get a Letter of Recommendation from Aakaar Will get a Certificate of Internship upon satisfying the minimum criteria Exclusive personal merchandise to top monthly CRs Free Paid Workshops in the main event for top CRs Free accommodation inside IIT Bombay during the main fest for top-performing CRs
