About this role
Roles: Provide dedicated business and operational support to international clients . Exclusively support Boulder Construction, a U.S.-based construction company specializing primarily in hotel and residential construction projects . Support the accounting and financial operations of U.S.-based construction projects . Responsibility: Maintain a detailed log of all company and project-related transactions, including storing, organizing, and labeling the backups properly (i.e., invoices, receipts, lien waivers, etc.) . Maintain and update Schedules of Values (SOVs) for accurate project billing from subcontractors or suppliers . Handle the management and filing of all invoices, ensuring they are accurate and processed in a timely manner . Manage and categorize expenses to maintain accurate financial records and reporting . Reconcile accounts and assist with financial closing processes . Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards specific to the construction industry . Assist in tax preparation and filing, including managing W9, W2, and other tax-related documents . Liaise with project managers to align financial reporting with project budgets, proper allocations, and projections . Use QuickBooks for construction financial management . Collaborate with external auditors to validate financial practices and records during audits . Analyze financial data (on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis) and prepare detailed reports to support decision-making for construction projects . Draft and send emails to counterparties regarding invoicing and other financials updates/questions . Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or CPA is preferred . Expert-level MS Excel and QuickBooks experience/knowledge is required, preferably within a construction context . Solid understanding of GAAP and financial principles applicable to construction .
